ServSafe Food Handler Course Description
The ServSafe Food Handler course is a 8-Hour class. The certification verifies that a food handler has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness. Individuals that successfully pass the 90-question, multiple-choice exam will receive a ServSafe Handler Certification and wallet card. The ServSafe Handler Certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the Conference for Food Protection Standards During the course, covers critical principles including:
- Personal hygiene
- Cross contamination and Allergens
- Time and temperature
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Basic food safety
ServSafe Food Manager Course Description
The ServSafe Food Manager course is a 10-Hour class. The certification verifies that a manager or person-in-charge has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness. Individuals that successfully pass the 90-question, multiple-choice exam will receive a ServSafe Manager Certification and wallet card. The ServSafe Manager Certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the Conference for Food Protection Standards During the course, covers critical principles including:
- Personal hygiene
- Cross contamination
- Time and temperature
- Receiving and storage
- Food safety management systems
- Training hourly employees and more
Successful completion of the ServSafe Food Manager exam with a score of 75% or higher will lead to a ServSafe Food Manager certification issued by the National Restaurant Association.
