0051 - Stained Glass Workshops

Course Description

Discover the art of stained glass in this hands-on, two-day workshop! Participants will learn both the copper foil and lead came techniques while gaining experience using the tools and materials needed to create beautiful stained-glass artwork.

Instruction includes selecting, preparing, and cutting stained glass, wrapping glass pieces with thin copper foil, and assembling projects using both copper foil and lead came construction methods. Participants will also learn how to solder and fuse the glass pieces together to complete a finished design.

All tools and materials are provided. The workshop fee is $250 per person, and all skill levels are welcome. Participants must attend both days of the workshop and will leave with a completed stained-glass piece to take home.

The workshop meets for 8 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday in STC's Historic Preservation Lab (5717 White Bluff Road, Savannah, GA 31405).
